PEOPLE ARE THE DESTINATION
360 Campaign
MY ROLE: Copywriter (Concept Development & Campaign Copy)
THE CHALLENGE: Bigger vehicles are often seen as a practical compromise rather than an aspirational purchase. We needed to shift the conversation away from the vehicle itself and toward the people it makes room for.
THE INSIGHT: There's a group of people who buy larger vehicles, not because they need more space, but because they're the ones bringing family and friends together.
THE SOLUTION: People Are the Destination reframed Toyota's larger vehicles as enablers of connection. The destination wasn't a place—it was the people waiting at the end of the drive.
THE RESULTS: What began as a campaign for Toyota's Social Ringleaders quickly became something bigger. After seeing the "Super Hero Belt" script, Toyota accelerated production by four months so it could debut at its national dealer meeting. The response was so strong that the spot was ultimately selected to air during the Super Bowl.
PRESS COVERAGE: The campaign generated national press coverage leading up to the Super Bowl.
